The Funeral Plan gives you peace of mind that you and your loved ones are supported at the time of death. Choose from flexible cover options to suit your needs, provided through our partner insurers: Nyaradzo, Old Mutual, or Zimnat. You can select either a cash payout (Old Mutual or Zimnat) or a funeral service benefit (Nyaradzo) when you claim.

How much it costs
  • Premium depends on the type of policy chosen and the number of dependants one is will to cover on his /her policy.
How to claim
  • Positive identification of deceased
  • Positive identification of claimant
  • Confirmation of death .i.e. Notice of death or burial order
How to get it
  • Complete a proposal form for processing

  • Casket 
  • Hearse transport anywhere within Zimbabwe.
  • Mourners’ transport (‘Sahwira Mukuru’ bus) also anywhere within Zimbabwe.
  • Removal of deceased from place of death to mortuary. 
  • Use of mortuary and chapel
  • Preparation of the deceased for burial.
  • Supply of grave site equipment i.e. tent and lowering machine.
  • Documentation processing i.e. burial order.
  • Grocery allowance $400
